Sunrocket was OK for the first 6 months. Occasional sound issues, but I would just do the call again and it would be great. Then I started having problems receiving calls on one of my two numbers. Spent a lot of time redoing voicemail when they decided it was a problem with my ISP. Sunrocket basically washed their hands and said there was nothing more they could do. Customer service tried, but just don't have the knowledge to do much.

I have been using SunRocket for several months now and have had good results so far. I have to admit that after reading dozens of negative reviews, I was very hesitant to even try it. Finally I decided I'd give it a try but keep my land line for a while in case it didn't work out.

Anyway, I went ahead and signed up and less than a week later the gizmo showed up. I followed the simple directions and was up and running in minutes. Overall my experience has been very good. I've experienced no outages or down time. I've had maybe one or two disconnected calls total. The sound quality is very good most of the time. In fact I would say that 80% of the time the sound quality is equal to a normal phone line. The remaining 20% of the time it is similar in quality to a cell phone. Occasionally I will get some clicking sounds that go away after a few seconds and I have had a couple of calls that had an annoying echo.

The bottom line... No it is not quite as good as a normal land line, however it is ALMOST as good. Considering the huge difference in price and all the features that are included it was an easy decision for me to call up and cancel my old $50/month phone service.

One thing I'll add - I use Verizon's FIOS internet service which has been excellent. A "not so good" internet connection may be behind many of the problems that some people seem to be having.

Finally, as far as customer service is concerned - I have no idea - I've never even contacted them one time so it could be horrible or great, I just don't know.
